The GP Unique
As far as hot hatchbacks go it's hard to find one more aggressive than the GP Unique. It features large intakes, a curved arch and a two part rear wing. These are features typically reserved for French unicorns.
It's not just a look sexy. It also feels quick. The engine is smooth, powerful and its 332lb-ft of torque is delivered with ease under 1,750rpm. It's also well matched to the quick-shifting six-speed automatic transmission. Mini is extremely focused on lap times, so it's a pity that the GP Unique does not have a manual transmission.
It's not without faults. The GP Unique's passive suspension is firm but it's not a lot of fun. If you drive on a smooth straight B road, the chassis' dynamic limits are easily pushed, but it is difficult to maintain fluidity when you apply your inputs. The front end can become a bit snatchy, and the car slams when under pressure by irregular British bumps.
After you have dialed into the GP Unique, its handling is exceptional. Its front end and body control remind us of the JCW racecar we drove last season. On a slick surface and when you're in determined mood, it's a real joy to drive.

The new GP's 24.7 degrees of rake and 108mm trail feel more nose-heavy compared to the R6. However, it provides amazing stability when turning.
The PO Generator module is another fantastic feature in GP. This module lets you examine your inventory and the min/max level you've set for each item and any open POs your vendors have (i.e. more inventory is coming) and it generates suggested purchase order you can send to your suppliers.
The GP 500
The GP 500 is Airoh's lightest GP helmet to date, helping to reduce neck strain and fatigue as well as improving safety by reducing the stress on the shoulders of the wearer. The shell is aerodynamic and features a chin-curtain sloper which improves aerodynamics and decreases wind buffeting. Its EQRS quick release system is similar to that used on the majority of motorbike helmets that are designed for track, allowing emergency services to remove the helmet without causing any discomfort to the wearer's neck.
The GP500 as well as the majority of modern helmets, is Snell and certified by SHARP. It has an SHARP 3-star rating. While this isn't the highest score, it's an impressive rating considering it comes with front-to-back and side impact protection.
In terms of image quality is related, I must say I was really impressed. The GP500 can project an image of up to 4K with amazing clarity. According to BenQ's specifications, it also had a low lag between inputs in both Game Mode and Fast Mode.
It was extremely accurate in terms color, with the color accuracy being very accurate with a DeltaE of only 2.3 which is a great value. It also showed excellent grayscale performance, with clear and distinct shades. The GP500 also showed subtle rainbow colors when viewing the Adam Project. These were easy to see, but did not hinder the viewing experience.
The sound is also very impressive and the GP500 features an onboard independent DSP chip with TreVolo psychoacoustic tune that works to create 3D audio effects. It has an internal quad-speaker layout which is positioned at each corner of the cabinet. This is designed to create an audio field that is awe-inspiring for all viewers, regardless of where they are seated in the room.
There are a variety of options for connectivity, such as HDMI inputs 1 2, 3 and 4 and an optical Toslink SPDIF for sending native Dolby-Atmos bitstreams to a sound bar that is external. The GP500 comes with two Type-A USB 2.0 ports for streaming content. It also has the 12-volt screen trigger.

The GP 900
Sceptics might argue that the GP is just a naked XSR900 in a Wayne Rainey frock, but the truth is that Yamaha's designers have worked hard to create a touching and powerful tribute to the sporty heritage of the company. The GP's latest Deltabox frame and swingarm are 55mm wider, however they feel more compact in corners thanks to the altered chassis geometry. There's no doubt that the GP 900 is an excellent sports heritage-inspired machine however, it's also an ideal commuter or Sunday blaster. The 117bhp CP3 motor is extremely usable with a wide range of power available at low revs. Even at road speed, the GP has a wallop of midrange hoo-hah, which is enough to recalibrate your time/speed/distance calculations and completely eviscerate Google Maps' estimated time of arrival. The GP's chassis has the right amount of stiffness - it is not as painfully stiff as an R6 nor as light and agile like the TT500. It's a lot of fun to ride and a real riot.
